Connexions Staffordshire

16-17 and want to leave home?

If you’re 16 – 17, you can move out of your family home if your parents or carers agree to it. If they don’t agree - but you leave anyway - you could be reported to the police as a missing person.

For some young people there are problems with being at home that mean you need to look for your own accommodation. If you’re in this position why not: speak to your Connexions Personal Adviser or contact one of the following agencies who can help you with information about housing.
