Have you thought about volunteering?
Volunteering is a great chance to do worthwhile things, help people and gain experience and skills. Although you won’t get paid, it will look good on a CV or job application and can help you be more employable. (If you’re keen on a particular area of work but can’t find a job vacancy, volunteering for something similar might be a good next step.)
The amount of time you put in is entirely up to you. It could be a few hours a week, a full-time gap year project, or even a working holiday. On top of all the benefits mentioned above, taking part in volunteering is an excellent way to have fun, meet new people and make new friends…
