Section 139a-c
Local authorities have a number of legal responsibilities in respect of young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. One such responsibility is to carry out Section 139a-c Assessments with young people who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs and who choose to leave school at the end of Year 11.
Connexions Staffordshire delivers this responsibility through our contractual arrangements with both Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent local authorities.
