Working in partnership 

Connexions Staffordshire works with a range of partners from statutory, voluntary and community organisations, to improve the life chances of people across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

Connexions Staffordshire is represented on the following Trusts, Boards and Steering Groups at County and City level:



Connexions is also involved in the work of other local partnerships including:

Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs)

LSPs bring together representatives from the statutory, voluntary, community and private sectors to address local issues, allocate funding and discuss strategies and initiatives.  They encourage joint working and community involvement with the aim of benefiting their local communities through the better allocation of resources at a local level.

There are nine Local Strategic Partnerships across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent - these are:

  • Stoke-on-Trent LSP
  • Stafford LSP
  • South Staffordshire LSP
  • Lichfield LSP
  • Newcastle LSP
  • Moorlands Together LSP
  • East Staffordshire LSP
  • Chase Community Partnership
  • Tamworth LSP

District and Borough Children’s Trust Boards

The District and Borough Children’s Trust Boards in Staffordshire provide a more local focus to the work of the Staffordshire Children’s Trust. Visit the Staffordshire Children’s Trust website for further information.


Community and Learning Partnerships

Community and Learning Partnerships across Staffordshire (extended schools and Clusters in Stoke-on-Trent) are developing to provide access to integrated services, specifically for children and young people, in the heart of local communities. 14-19 Partnerships

14-19 partnerships work to develop the curriculum offer across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, ensuring that the learning opportunities and progression routes available to young people in the City and the County are flexible and reflect the developing national curriculum. They also support the impartial advice and guidance provided through Connexions to enable young people to select progression routes which suit their individual needs.

In Staffordshire, this countywide partnership is reflected in District 14+ forums which encompass a number of sub-groups including for each district, an IAG forum.
